We are looking to recruit a Junior Web Designer to join the team at graphitedesign.

Seemingly bucking the trend, over the last couple of years graphitedesign have gone from strength to strength.

Our continued success means that we are now in immediate need of an enthusiastic and talented Junior Designer.

Don't think that because the position is entitled 'Junior' that this will not be a challenging role. Maintaining our reputation for a combination of quality design supported by cutting-edge functionality means that every member of the team needs to be at the top of their game to help us retain our position as South London's premier web design business.

If you are a graduate with at least 1 year's commercial web development experience working within a team environment then you could be the person we're looking for.

The Role

This is a permanent position based at our offices in Bromley that will suit someone looking to get involved in every aspect of web development and grow their skills in a fast moving and at times highly-pressured environment. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute as a full team member from the outset. You will be working on a diverse range of web projects. As well as building, testing and supporting complex web solutions you will be expected to liaise directly with our clients, attend meetings as necessary, prepare technical specifications and quotes, generally with the minimum of supervision.

If you are genuinely a self-starter, can cope with impossible deadlines and demanding customers whilst still solving challenging problems, have a keen attention to detail and retain your sense of humour (sanity?) to the backdrop of constant interruptions and loud music then read on, you still sound like you might be the person we're looking for.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will have:

An honours degree in an appropriate discipline - either technical or creative

At least one year's commercial experience in web design

Excellent communication and client liaison skills

A good working understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, XML

In addition, preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate:

• Knowledge of Javascript/JQuery
• Experience in Flash Design
• iOS Application Interface Design
• A strong web design portfolio
